Boyd has been an oncology nurse since 2013 and began his career in the inpatient setting. He worked 4 years on the inpatient oncology floor where he provided care for acutely ill cancer patients. In 2018, he began working as a navigator in the cancer center where he met newly diagnosed cancer patients and coordinated their care within the medical, surgical and oncology departments.
He began working part-time in the radiation oncology office as he furthered his education. Upon graduation, he began working full-time in our office in the summer of 2023 as a nurse practitioner. He currently sees follow-up patients within our clinic as well as assisting in the care for patients undergoing radiation treatment.
He and his wife have lived in Albany, Georgia since 2010. They have two young boys ages 7 and 5. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as fishing, quail and deer hunting.
